Lingyi Tan joined Mathspace to oversee our Research Department with a special focus on efficacy. A veteran mathematician with extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence, Lingyi is passionate about the potential of edtech in mathematics. She is also a firm believer in improving and proving efficacy using Machine Learning and data-driven approaches.
This initiative to offer all teachers a free class has been spearheaded by Lingyi and her team. It is the first of many steps towards creating a more evidence-driven edtech community.
"We have the opportunity to make a radical impact on mathematics education. But we owe it to teachers and to ourselves to invest in providing evidence. There are countless edtech programs out there claiming to transform education. It’s time to help teachers show efficacy before they commit to purchasing these programs.”
