How do we multiply a single digit number by a $3$3 digit number?

The easiest way to think about it is $3$3 separate multiplications added together.

We can multiply the single digit number by the ones in the $3$3 digit number add this to the multiplication of the tens add this to the multiplication of the hundreds.
