Ordering numbers (90000 to million)

Lesson

Let's have a go at ordering numbers larger than a million! These are numbers with up to $7$7 digits.

Which is the largest number?

When trying to work out which number is bigger, first look for the number that has the most digits. If they have the same number of digits, compare the largest place value first. In a $7$7 digit number, this is the millions value. Watch this video to see how.

Arranging in order

Previously, we looked at arranging numbers in ascending and descending order. Now that you have practised identifying which number is larger or smaller, let's try putting a set of numbers in order. Watch this video to see how.
