Multiply fractions III

Lesson

Multiplying fractions by rule

We've seen how using the rule for multiplying fractions helps to simplify the process. Now we can try this out on fractions with any denominator, and look at how to work with mixed fractions and improper fractions in more detail.

Remember!

A whole number can be expressed as a fraction, we just use $1$1 as its denominator. Multiplying fractions can be done in different ways, so you may like to change mixed fractions to improper fractions before multiplying, but you don't have to.
