Patterns with tenths and hundredths (add/sub)

Lesson

Let's bring together everything we've seen so far with patterns - whether working with decimals in the tenths place, decimals in the hundredths place, or fractions. Each time, we've seen that we need to:

  1. Find the pattern - which will either be given, or which will need to be found by looking at the list of numbers.
  2. Continue the pattern - using the pattern that you found.

Watch the video below to see some examples!

Now that you've seen how to work with patterns using decimals and fractions, have a go at some questions!

Worked Examples

Example 1

Complete the pattern.

  1. $\frac{8}{10}$810 $\frac{7}{10}$710 $\frac{6}{10}$610 $\editable{}$ $\editable{}$ $\editable{}$
  2. What is the pattern?
