# Multiplying and Dividing Negative Fractions

Lesson

We have already done a lot of questions and chapters involving Multiplying (Parts of Parts I, Parts of Parts 2) and Dividing (Dividing Parts I and Dividing Parts II). This chapter will give you practice on multiplying and dividing but with negative fractions thrown into the mix.  All the rules you have learnt still apply.

## Multiplying Fractions

1. Change any mixed fractions to improper first
2. Multiply the numerators
3. Multiply the denominators
4. Simplify if possible

## Dividing Fractions

1. Change any mixed fractions to improper first.
2. Change the division into a multiplication of the reciprocal
3. Multiply the numerators
4. Multiply the denominators
5. Simplify if possible
