In everyday life, we can't always say that things will definitely happen. For example, if it is cloudy one day, we can't be sure that it will definitely rain.
In math we look at events or run experiments and work out how likely it is that a result (outcome) will happen. To do this, we need to know every outcome that could happen. The video below will take you through how we work this out.
